What’s money? A man is a success if he gets up in the morning and goes to bed at night and in between does what he wants to do.

— Bob Dylan

This quote reminds me of something I realized while rewatching Good Will Hunting: you don’t need a course to learn something you’re interested in. You don’t need a college education to become an expert at something.

School is just a convenient carrot-and-stick method that leads to knowledge acquisition.

Someday, I’ll grow up and figure out how to do it without the $40,000 a year incentive.

Yeah… college is just a fucking money making scheme. Unless you’re there to actually use your education in a way that benefits you, its just a waste of time and money.

And your incentives are money? I guess that’s not that hard to believe since that crazy black guy preached to us about how much money we could make if we go to college and do something that we don’t like, lol. You’ll find your actual love in the field eventually. Maybe when you go down to Texas.
